Tires Hankook or Cooper

Hankook Tires

After almost 3000 miles with my new Hankook tires, you can see the Wh/m difference from lifetime. 228.8 vs 254.5. to me that's a significant improvement. I also like that they are a tad bit quieter.

Pros: significant improvement, quieter
Mileage: 4828 km

Cooper's aren't THAT much more and they're great tires. I got 67,000 out of the ones on my 2003 Subaru Forester XS (RIP) they were at the end of their life though.

Pros: great tires, long life
Cons: at end of life
Mileage: 107826 km

Went from stock Bridgestones to Cooper ATT. Seems to be quieter and defintely a better ride. Not sure why a lot of people prefer Bridgestones pero I find them stiffer even if inflated to just below recommended.

Pros: quieter, better ride
Cons: Bridgestones feel stiffer
Mileage: 64000 km

I replaced my tires at 30k with Hankook Ion EVO AS EV tires. They are not cheap, but they are EV-rated and have good reviews.

Pros: good reviews, EV-rated
Cons: not cheap
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 30000 km

I’m on my second M3. The first came with Michelin the latest on Hankook. The Hankooks are I think slightly quieter but if you enjoy driving definitely go for the Michelin. The Hankooks have very soft sidewalls which gives a slightly soft squishy feel to the steering and much poorer turn in than the Michelin.

Pros: quieter ride
Cons: soft sidewalls, poorer turn

I had these tires for about 8-10k miles then took them off. They did ok for turns and handling but I did not have good overall experience

Pros: ok for turns, ok handling
Cons: not good overall experience

Hankook Tires

I'd advise against the RS4 altogether. They wear super slow but they heat cycled out after 100 runs for me. The RE71RS were still competitive at 150 runs. It's a great endurance track tire if you're looking for life, but as an autocross tire it's not actually cheaper per run and it's handling manners are generally terrible for the use.

Pros: wear super slow
Cons: handling manners terrible
