Goodyear Tires

i changed my tires to XL (Eagle F1 Asymm's) and the problem is solved. i have hit some very nasty edges and haven't had any drama whatsoever... i believe it certainly would have been a replacement if it wasn't for the XL-strength sidewall.

Pros: XL-strength sidewall

I have 10k on the Goodyear Eagle all seasons and so far so good. I love their aggressive-looking tread and they handle fine in the rain, but the jury is still out on snow performance.

Pros: aggressive-looking tread, handle fine in rain
Cons: snow performance unknown
Mileage: 10000 km

I got the Goodyear Eagle F1 All-Seasons, and love them. They perform as good as the summer-only variation (not easy to find in many all-seasons), yet offer the security of being able to drive safely n low-temps/snow.

Pros: perform as good as summer

Yes they are. I replaced mine with Sumintano HTRZ IIIs and things quieted down considerably.

Pros: quieter than Goodyear
Cons: noisy tires

Goodyear Tires

Like Tim said above, it depends on the tire. Some are more dedicated to pure dry weather grip, some have a better rain compound and tread. Like poster #2 above, I have Goodyear F1's. The reason I chose those is because they are just about unbeatable in the rain, it's like driving on a dry road. They can stand the car on it's nose under braking, and grip harder when turning. They give up very little in dry ultimate grip, too.

Pros: unbeatable in the rain
Cons: bad below freezing temp

yea, the Eagle GT's are what my mother has on her G35. Definitely resist hydroplaning well.

Pros: resist hydroplaning well

They're not the best tires. But they're not the worst either. If you hit a pothole, bubbles will form. I have 33,000 miles on my F1's and a bubble has never formed on any of them. They wear relatively fast.

Pros: comfortable ride
Cons: wear relatively fast
Mileage: 53108 km

Goodyear Tires

Had the same thing happen at 1400 miles. GY replaced my tire for free because it had less than 1400 miles on it. They then sold me the tire protection plan....fast forward 15000 miles and I get 2 more bubbles.

Pros: tire replaced for free
Cons: pro-rate price was high
Mileage: 15000 km
