My go to brand for a lot of my vehicles has been General Tire, but sometimes I'll go for Continental if it's only a few bucks more.
the General Altimax Arctic is an older gen Gislaved NordFrost and a very good snow tire at a good price. I’ve had Hakkas, Blizzaks, Coopers, Firestones, Goodyears, and Hankooks winter tires, the Generals were the best for the price.
I have been quite happy with General RT43's in 185-6014. Good traction - even in the snow.
I went with the General GMax as05!!!! Let’s hope they are as good as everyone says and that they last for a bit!
I like the Federal 595s for track days, and I run general gmax as05 the rest of the time. Surprisingly grippy tire for an all season and pretty cheap!
I run General Altimax arctics which are kind of budget but I have never gotten stuck.
I went with General Altimax RT-43's (H speed versions). Are they as good as the Michelins they replaced feeling wise? No. But they were affordable, have been lasting quite nicely in terms of tread life, and have been working out just fine for my uses.
My F150 came with General Grabber HTS60’s. Highway-biased all season tire, but it’s not afraid to go through a little snow - so rain should be fine. Nice, quiet highway ride.
I've been happy with General Grabber HTS60 for the last 2 years
Another vote for the Generals. My CRV seems to ride like **** and handle like dog-**** with them on, but I love the abuse.
