I got some Firestone Destination XTs about 1k miles ago in the stock size. I wanted LT tires for the stability towing. So far they are working great. Way better off road and wet traction then the stock Pirelli Scorpions. But they hang on to gravel bad.
I'd recommend Firestone Firehawk Indy 500. They're really good and affordable tires that have excellent grip. They don't have much road noise and last decently long.
I have run the Indy 500s on two Minis, Audi A8 with a 630HP tuned motor, Volvo V90 and Mercedes E550 with a Renntech tune. EXCELLENT tires for the money, Tirerack has great prices!
I’m currently running the Indy 5 hundies and I do like them and they grip very well. Not so great in heavy rain tho
I rode Indy 500s on my focus st for many years. The performance and price are amazing. The amount of grip transformed that car. The ride quality is a little harsh but not noisy.
Had the 500s on my old BRZ, they were amazing, especially in the wet which is hard to find on summer tires.
The Indy 500s are an amazing tire.
The big thing I love about the Indy 500, is that it has amazing wet performance compared to other tires I've run. It holds lateral g's very well and the tire wears evenly as long as you are aligned correctly. I've had some other summer tires that tend to wear on the edges way faster.
Firestone fire hawks, summer tire, but all four was around $600
Hated these Firestone’s on my e30. Got very noisy when older, grip was inferior to a even a 10mm smaller width fallen rt615.
Firestone tires are garbage that are loss leaders to lure people into their ripoff repairs.
