Tires Firestone or Nokia
I use OPD on my Bolt EUV 2023 and it works wonderfully so far. We've had tons of snow and all sorts of crappy road conditions lately in Southern Quebec (I live in the country, not the city), so I have a pretty good sampling. Reminds me when I had a manual transmission.
I\u2019ve got Firestone weathergrip from the previous owner of my Outback wilderness and they have been great in the snow for our commute in Lake Ontario snow belt.
Ours is a tank. Running on Nokian R5s and compared to my old RS5 with winters, it’s as good as the Audi.
I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5s on my SQ8. Quiet and great in snow.
I’m in Alberta, Canada, where the attitude towards snow ploughing is “We do it, if we get around to it— could be sometime next week”. The Model 3 RWD is substantially better on ice than my old ICE vehicle, especially with studded Nokian winter tires on it.
Tires (Winter) Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 SUV (Mandatory for Quebec Dec 1 - Mar 15)
I run Hakkapeliittas on my SQ5 for the New England weather and theyre great on mountain access roads in the thick stuff
I’ve run blizzaks- x-ice- nokians. Preference for the nokians but the x-ice is a close second.
Apparently they perform well which must be true since their winter tires are very popular where I live too. It is just the quality of the material itself that's awful.
I had firestone put 2 on the front of my 2015 Camry. I put 7,000 miles on them and they are already worn out.
