Tires Falken or Sailun

Falken Tires

I went Falken Wildpeak AT4W P285/70R17 SL which is almost stock at 32.8" on my scs 17x8.5 +20 wheels and am totally satisfied. Almost stock weight and size but with a "truck" look.

Pros: totally satisfied, truck look, almost stock weight and size

Falken Wildpeak AT4 275 / 65 / 20. Yes millage takes a little hit but I drive alot of gravel roads also. For me highway noise is minimal. Basically a 34” tire. Also like the little wider foot print over stock.

Pros: minimal highway noise, wider footprint
Cons: mileage takes a hit
Vehicle: Toyota

Rating 4.0

Went 35 11.50 r18 wild peak at4 on my 2024 TRD pro. Can definitely tell a difference in weight. You get used to it. Fuel consumption went down a bit but not too bad. Rides fine. These have some noise but that's to be expected for AT tires. Don't regret the upgrade. Looks so much better.

Pros: rides fine, good looks, no regret
Cons: noticeable weight, some noise, lower fuel consumption
Vehicle: Toyota

Falken Tires

I recently purchased a set of 235/50-18 Falken Wildpeaks for $500CAD...typically $1500CAD and the tires looked brand new (about 5 months of driving on them according to seller). They ride awesome on my Maverick and I will continue to buy used tires.

Pros: ride awesome, looked brand new

Sailun Tires

I would choose the Saliun Ice Blazer - I had them when I was 16 and very reckless and managed to not cause *too much* damage

Pros: managed to not cause damage

Sailun Tires

I bought a set for my daughter's car and she had a sidewall blowout driving down the interstate. Thankfully she didn't crash. We took the tire back to the Meineke were purchased, who then sent the tire to Sailun. They said the tire would not be covered under warranty, even though it was only 3 months old.

Cons: sidewall blowout, no warranty

Falken Tires

Just got some Falken Azenis A/S 460, only got about 8500 miles out of the previous pair. My current energy use skyrocketed to 350 Wh/mi.

Pros: null
Cons: energy use skyrocketed
Mileage: 8500 km
