Have about 2-3 foot of snow in Eastern NC today (still falling) and snow mode did fantastic on my WK2 with Wildpeak AT3W’s
I put Falken Aklimates on the 20's on my baby mom's. They are beyond awesome. I had to go to work this past Sunday during the worst of the snow (we got 14" by that evening when I left) and it made it through without a hiccup.
Can't recommend them enough.
Falken Wildpeak AT Trails are awesome. Great all around tire! Quiet too. Have them on my 22 GCL
I have the nitto terra grappler g3. Was significantly lighter than the ko3s I usually run.
Falken AT4W’s are absolute tanks, loving them so far. They also look much more aggressive than they feel or sound which is a win win for aesthetics / highway
I only run Nitto now. BFG let me\nDown a few too many times. That said, ridge grapplers are on two of my cruisers and the newer Terra g3 on the LX. Both perform great in heavy rain, on/off road, rock, mud, etc.
Falkon Wildpeaks (I love this tire)
I’m using Falken Azenis. I was planning on Michelin pilot sports, but tariffs added almost $200 per tire so I went with Falkens from the stock Pirelli P Zeros.
What I’ve noticed:
Steering feel is noticeably worse. I noticed instantly. Honestly that doesn’t matter with a muscle car, but I liked the direct feel and confidence of the pirellis.
However, the new ride is nicer. Ride is slightly more comfortable, which for a daily driver is a valid trade off. Ride went from 4/10 to a 5/10 in comfort.
If the Pirellis grip at normal temperatures is an 8/10 the falkens are maybe 6.9/10. I’ve only had them for 200 miles so far though.
My pirellis needed to be replaced after 8k miles on the street. The falkens should last 30-40k miles. Oh and the pirellis turned in to glass below 50 Fahrenheit since they’re summer tires. I’m definitely going to try Michelins next, no matter the price, but I’m not upset at cheaping out ($320 a tire) this time.
run as fast as you can from the Falken tires. mine were absolute shit
I’m a little disappointed in the Mav (FWD hybrid) snow performance. Even got real nice Falken Wildpeak AT3 all-terrains in August since the factory continentals were dogshit. It gets by alright enough but still slips on acceleration. A lot.
