Personally I run Goodyear Assurance Weather ready and I've been really happy with them.
I went with Wildpeak AT Trail because highway driving is my priority, with occasional drives on the beach and gentle Forest Service roads. I see a lot of soft-roading in this sub-reddit they can handle.
I've only tried one set so far. Falken azenis RT 660+. So far they are awesome. They are almost too sticky tbh. There is a intersection i like to slide through and with these I have to really stay in throttle hard to get it going or small clutch kick helps.
I got some real dope good years
Falken Azenies are also pretty darn good.
I roll on Falken’s Azenis RT615K+ tires (205/50R15) and I love them.
I just put on a new set of the Goodyear’s brand new wrangler electric drive all terrains in a 275/65r20 non LT this past weekend. I’m only 200 miles in but so far I’m really impressed. My truck has a 1.5” as well and my efficiency is shockingly high. Need to put on more miles to verify. Tires are really quiet too despite being relatively large and aggressive. They are expensive tires but Goodyear was running a 20% sale on their website so the price was pretty manageable.
I absolutely loved my wildpeaks, yea, the ride is slightly harsher, but I do a fair amount of offroad driving and snow driving, so I'm ok with that. That being said I found 2 issues, 1, they got loud as hell about halfway through their lifecycle, like, to the point id reconsider buying again, 2. They stated cracking and chipping really bad at about 6 years.
These came stock on my Tacoma TRD Off Road Hybrid. AT3/Wa, 18” wheels. They have only 2 ply sidewalls and are trash. A 1/8” stick punctured the sidewall yesterday. Don’t take them off road.
I have two sets of these on a pair of 2013,2015 Ford Fusions. 225-50-17.
One tire got a sidewall bubble at a couple months old. Walmart refused to help because I didn't have them install the tires but I suspect they would have come up with other reasons like road hazard to avoid a warranty claim. I was able to talk to Goodyear and have one of their company stores inspect. The cause was a crack at the inner liner splice and air migration into the carcass. They refunded me my purchase price.
A tire on my other car had the same problem in almost the exact same spot also less than a year old. Same result.
Tires are currently 2-3 years old and they have weathering and sidewall cracking. (Parked outside in Michigan). Multiple tires are developing something that looks like a heat ring to varying degrees.
