Tires DUNLOP or VITOUR

DUNLOP Tires

I rode them on a friends t7. I really liked them, from my impression they really deliver on that "50/50"-saying of Dunlop. They have a very stiff sidewall which helps with punctures (compared to let's say a anakee wild).

Pros: very stiff sidewall

Just ran the Dunlop's for a week on dirt and found them to be vastly better than the STRs. There was no perceivable compromise on the road either. The Dunlop has stiff sidewalls and can be aired down to even 18 psi (which I did for some gnarly single track).

Pros: vastly better than STRs
Cons: no perceivable compromise

I can’t speak for the pirelli, but the Q4’s offer lots of grip until you get to a good racing pace. After that you need slicks.

Pros: lots of grip
Cons: need slicks for racing

Have Dunlop Sig HP 235/45r17 on my Volt. Not a bad tire. Grip is much higher than the stockers of course. Weird thing though, around 2 different off ramps at a similar speed to the stock tires, the ESP light comes on. I know it is getting light on the back inside tire, but I am coasting, not braking. Though, not sure how the regen works with the rear tires. So maybe the car is braking the back tires at the same amount as the regen is braking the front axle? Either way, never got an ESP light on any cornering with stock tires, and get it occasionally with the new ones. Slight slight bit of howl, but coming from the crap hypermile OE tires, everything is going to be louder. For the price I paid, I will not complain a bit.

Pros: grip is much higher
Cons: ESP light comes on, slight howl

Dang, I got the craptastic Dunlops on my '21 R4PSE, but we're only at 21k miles. Sad to see somebody got 45k miles on a set. Dang, I hate to replace them prematurely, so that means I have to endure another 2 years of squeaky skittish tires.

Cons: squeaky skittish tires
Mileage: 21000 km

DUNLOP Tires

Looking at the Dunlops, they are rated poorly in pretty much every review I saw. They only have a treadwear rating of 360 which is pretty low for an all season crossover tire which explains why they're cooked at 20k miles. Most reviews I see are people complaining about them wearing out at 20-30k miles and being terrible in wet/snow.

Cons: terrible in wet/snow
Vehicle: Nissan
Mileage: 20000 km

Can confirm , the dunlops are absolute garbage in the snow. Bought a set of beater oem 16 wrx wheels off of marketplace today and will be slapping on some premium awd snow donut shoes tomorrow, almost hit a curb going five mph leaving a stoplight. They have as much traction in snow , as a puck has on a air hockey table.. prepare to buy tires if you live in a winter challenged climate .

Cons: absolute garbage in snow
