Tires DUNLOP or NANKANG

I run Audi A3 17" wheels with Dunlop 3D sport winters. They're not the best snow tire, but they are significantly better than an all season and I have yet to have any issues getting around. Car feels stables, and brakes are actually effective unlike with all seaons.

yes really, quiet, grips just fine for a daily driver golf, and cheap ($224 for the set) I spent more money on my first set of tires, and realized i didn't need them. These fit my need perfectly.

when i had my 03 wolfsburg i ran 225/45/17 dunlop signature HP's, amazing tire for the money

17" VW/Ronal Sima with Dunlop Wintersport 4D. Really happy with this combo.

Dunlop SportMaxx RT. Best bang for buck IMO.

I installed Dunlop sport max RT summer tires and they work great and were priced good, I've had them on all winter too and I've driven them in 20-30° weather and they still performed very good, although I'm happy overall with the tire, they're almost worn out.

nankang is not bad just probably a bit of road noise

I think the dunlops will wear out faster than the michelin , in my experience .

Friends have run these, they are outright terrible in all respects.

I had a set on a 2008 F-250 work truck. Wore down quickly ~15K miles and unevenly. Felt like hard plastic chunks when cold, noisy, no off road traction. Had one blow out at about 60 mph and later on I had another tire get a tumbleweed puncture in the sidewall. They were trash. Swapped them out for a proper set of tires.
