Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S! Went from KO2’s to these and it’s a night and day difference in terms of handling, smoothness, MPG, and most important (for me)- cold/ wet weather performance!
I am a big fan of Cooper discoverer tires. Currently running the rugged trek in 275/65 R20 on my 1500 AT4. Quieter than the Goodyears that came with the truck.
They performed admirably, especially for the price. To my ears they were quieter than the factory Dunlops, and they definitely lasted longer. I replaced them after around 45,000 miles (~72,000 km since I see you are a northern neighbor) because of a sidewall bubble, but that was courtesy of a massive pothole rather than any sort of defect. There was still tread life remaining.
Studded Cooper discoverer snowclaws not much to look at but excellent traction on snow and ice
Easily, Coopers. Ran the AT3 on my last truck (Silverado). Had right at 58,000 miles on them when I sold the truck with plenty of life left on the tires.
I’ve ran BFG KO2, Cooper AT3, Cooper STT Pro, and Cooper ST Maxx. All of them have been good tires but my favorite by far were the ST Maxx.
Replaced with Cooper AT3 XLT, which also have the RWL sidewall like the STT, and am over 50% tread at 38k miles. They are quieter, too.
Go with your Uncle Cooper. I’m on my second set on my Wrangler and have had great luck with them.
Running the cooper's in a 35x12.5 currently and they are LOUD as expected but they sure do look good lol ????
Starfire tires are a budget brand of tire made by Cooper. They're typically using Cooper's older, less advanced rubber compounds, some of which are absolutely terrifying in wet conditions and tend to be OK to good in the dry. They typically have a short tread life.
