For me I personally went with Continental ExtremeContact DWS06+, it's been great so far in the summer and wet conditions. Drove through a bunch of pot holes not long ago at a hiking trailhead, but at the end of the day wrx are gonna be stiff anyways. But the tires are still holding strong so far!

Pros: great in summer, wet conditions
Cons: wrx are stiff
Vehicle: Subaru

For a 2020 Fit in Chicago, the Continental TrueContact Tour is the single best choice great comfort, really solid rain/slush grip, and perfect for small hatchbacks; I’ve run them on a similar car and they felt planted without being harsh.

Pros: great comfort, solid rain grip
Cons: without being harsh
Vehicle: Honda Fit

Continental contact urban are excellent tires! They come in many sizes, they feel nice and supple for a touring tire, very fast, lots of grip and good puncture protection.

Pros: excellent tires, lots of grip

My wife got almost 60k miles out of her continental cross contact tires on her 2021 Honda pilot. I like Michelin tires but was really impressed with the continentals. I bought the updated version which are the LX25’s. I live in Nebraska and we get all the seasons. Might be worth a look

Pros: good mileage, all seasons
Vehicle: Honda Pilot
Mileage: 96560 km

Vredestein Tires

You can get a good all weather tire with 3PMSF rating for less than the CC2s. See Vredestein Quadtrac Pro, Falken Aklimate, and Altimax 365AW. All of these will be cheaper than the Michelins but will provide long tread life and good performance in snow + cold temps. I put the Quadtrac Pros on my mom's Impreza a couple years ago (Chicagoland area) and they've been great. So much better than the Firestone FT140s it came with from the factory.

Pros: long tread life, good performance

On the truck I have some Vredestein Pinza AT tires which are quite beefy and snow tire rated but also pretty smooth on the highway.

Pros: pretty smooth

Continental Tires

Just put on a fresh pair of Kryptotals on Bontrager tubeless ready rims. Took 4 hours and 7 plastic tire wrench’s to get both tires on. Getting them to seat wasn’t too bad.

Pros: getting them to seat wasn’t too bad
Cons: install took 4 hours
