I'm out of Chicagoland (close enough to you) and I rock Continental control contact tires. Best thing in the world for all seasons in the snow. Great in our stupid rain too. You really feel nice and planted in them.
I may go with Continental once I need new tires.
Tires are everything. They are the only part of your bike that touches the ground and they make the biggest difference in rolling resistance and comfort.
Spend your money on GOOD TIRES before boosting the performance. The car gets very torquey when tuned, and if you don\u2019t have rubber that can grip the road consistently, you will find yourself spinning if you start out a bit too exuberantly. I have Continental ProContact all seasons.
From that list I would get the Continental Conti Ultra Contact because it's the quietest tire there with A tier wet performance.
I just got my M3 and bought a set of previous gen 18 inch rims, put continental viking contact 8's on them, so far good here in buffalo.
Honda accord does fine with some all weather tires. I use continental contipro contact. Never had an issue
Mechanic recommended Continental ProContacts as all-weathers for a small FWD VW sedan, and I've been happy with them for a couple winters.
I run 315/30/18 ECF on my C5 base. I’m about 30 cycles in and they’re starting to die. They’re a good tire that gets up to temp pretty quick and last the whole session. That being said, they aren’t worlds grippier than the 275 conti ecs i replaced.
Post is old but for others who read- these are the absolute worst tires I have ever purchased. Do not recommend. Replacing after 2 years and a load of probs later. You get what you pay for!
