I now have Firestone Indy 500s and am quite pleased with them.
I had a set of Contis on my mk4 GTI and did a track day with them and they did great.
Firestone indy 500. Rest of the world except usa they are known as bridgestone re003
fantastic tires. on my 3rd set on my z over the years. Great in the rain. good traction. not noisy. and affordable
Enjoy those! I have a set on my Matrix, for street tires they are silly grippy, at least on that car, much better than a tall econobox has any real right to. I've tried some others, but keep coming back.
i run these tires on my Fusion, they are low profile, have good traction. As they are low profile, performance tires, they transmit road feel more than normal tires.
18” continental extreme contact sport. A+. Tons of grip on the rain and on the track every now and then works amazing for the upgraded power on my 6
Continental DWS. Gave up some responsiveness but rides on clouds now. Much more compliant on the roads now (19 inch wheels)
For my 2011 Element AWD, switched from the original Goodyears to Continental Control Contact in 235/65/16 (calculated for appropriate aspect ratio). No rubbing in the wheel wells. Better ride and traction.
I have Conti-Extreme Contact DWS06's on her from fall-spring (right now I have summers on.) today the temps were at around 57* and they were most certainly squirrely until they warmed up. They are a good overall tire but they will break loose (both all season and summer) if you have enough HP. they're a good all season tire. but I wouldn't push them to the limits. they are predictable also and I've pushed them in the corners with satisfactory handling.
I got rid of the Continentals because the rubber was way too soft. I was always getting flats in those tires.
