Tires Continental or Cooper

Continental Tires

I just put the continentals on my b9 s4 today. Got a great deal on them at a local shop. 850 installed. They’re the best all around tire if you want good traction in snow and still have great summer performance in my opinion.

Pros: good traction in snow, great summer performance

I've been running the Continentals on my current S5, the S3 before that and the GLI before that. Everyone will have different opinions, but I love them. Excellent dry traction, good wet, decent snow. I run my S5 once a year at a track and they do great there too.

Pros: excellent dry traction, good wet, decent snow
Vehicle: Audi S5

I replaced them with cooper road and trail AT tires. They are amazing in all conditions and whisper quiet.

I've had great experience in the snow so far with the Road & Trail and wondering if the Stronghold does similarly for LT sizes

I patched up the tubes, treated it to some Continental Double Fighter tires (feels like flying!), ditched the ridiculous bullhorn on the handlebar, swapped out the brakes, and gave it a new saddle.

To my surprise, this beast rides *incredibly* smooth compared to my trusty aluminum Specialized with 29" wheels! It’s way more agile and feels lighter

Pros: incredibly smooth, agile, lighter

Continental DoubleFighter - More pavement friendly but works on singletrack. This is my current choice for riding the Ohio to Erie Trail which is mostly paved surface.

Pros: pavement friendly, works on singletrack
Cons: null

I had the PureContact LS before these. The PureContacts were slightly quieter, and also slightly smoother on roads, and because I didn't take the Extremes to the extreme, I can't say if/how much better they are at handling, but on paper they should be.

I would have stuck with the PureContacts, but I had a very unfortunate puncture that was unserviceable, and they don't make them anymore.

Pros: slightly quieter, slightly smoother
Cons: unserviceable puncture, no longer available
