I have them on my '17 Bolt. They are definitely quieter than the previous tires. They seem to be holding up well, and I love hearing the tires chirp for traction when flogging it a 30 MPH!

Pros: quieter than previous tires

Sailun tires are pretty good in general for being off brand. My Jetta had them when I bought it — I put about 45k miles on them before they wore out. And during that time I hit a pothole hard enough to bend the wheel — but the tire survived.

Pros: tire survived pothole
Cons: wore out after 45k
Mileage: 72420 km

Sailun Tires

I was skeptical at first because they were so cheap. But after I did a cross-Canada trip on them I was so impressed by them. They survived nasty potholes. I didn't notice any range loss. Very quiet as well. The grip in wet conditions were far better.

Pros: very quiet, better grip
Cons: cheap

I eventually chose Turanza EV tires, which cost $1433 installed at Discount Tires in Portland, OR.

The Turanzas did not get off to a good start with me because they were inefficient: I was getting about 310 Wh/m. I called D Tires to discuss them and their sales guy said to drive them for 1k miles to break them in and then re-consider whether I was happy with my purchase.

I followed this advice which turned out to be good advice. At 1K miles, the Wh/m has dropped to about 280 Wh/M. The noise level from the tires has all but disappeared. These guys are quiet. The quality of the ride is just what I like: firm but not harsh.

Pros: quiet, firm ride quality
Cons: initially inefficient
Mileage: 1000 km

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I ran them on my ZX6R up to a fast advanced group pace. Once past that, they started getting a little loose in the turns. It was pretty obvious, nothing surprising, so I had plenty of warning that I was at the limit of the tire.

Pros: good up to advanced pace
Cons: loose in the turns

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I've had my cx-30 for a little over 6 months. The tires are mediocre at best. I haven't been in the snow yet, but they aren't that good in the rain. They seem to be a good fair weather tire and that's about it.

Pros: good fair weather tire
Cons: mediocre at best
Vehicle: Mazda
