Tires BRIDGESTONE or Sailun

Sailun Tires

I have just about 10k miles on my Sailun ERange and I have found them to be a great purchase. I noticed better traction in rainy/wet conditions and a slight decrease in noise. I just need to experience some snow and ice to see how they do.

Pros: better traction, less noise
Mileage: 16000 km

They're actually pretty good especially for the price in terms of snow and ice performance. Very comparable to the top brands. It's a bit louder though.

Pros: good snow and ice performance
Cons: a bit louder

BRIDGESTONE Tires

I basically encounter the same conditions in winter as you do. After having driven many years on winter tyres (Dunlop Winter Sport 5), I switched over to an all-season (Bridgestone Turanza All Season 6).

The benefits in my opinion are better responsiveness while turning in (less block movement of the thread) and the better longevity of the tyre, considering it has to somewhat withstand 30°C+ temperatures by design.

Pros: better responsiveness, better longevity

Sailun Tires

Sailun makes a great tire for the price though, I ran my last set of ATs for 50,000 kms and still had enough tread life to get $200 for them on Marketplace.

Pros: great tire for price
Mileage: 50000 km

Mine came with the potenza s005. The performance was great but the tire wore out with just 8k miles. To give some prospective, I replaced them with Michelin PS4S and at 6k miles they still measure 7/32 from the factory 9/32. The PS4S provided similar grip levels too.

Pros: great performance
Cons: tire wore out
Mileage: 8000 km

Mine came with Hankook which didn't even last a tank of gas before I put new rims/tires on which made a HUGE difference. Ended up going with Bridgestone Sports which compete with the Michelin PS4S. Never have looked back. Great tire and really transformed the handling of the car.

Pros: great tire, transformed handling
Cons: didn't last

Mine came w the Bridgestones - Potenza S0005 - they are excellent. Grip is so good that w UHP all seasons on the difference in grip is really noticeable - this car has such high limits/power that the difference is significant. Yes, the Bridgestones are noisy, especially on the highway.

Pros: excellent grip, high limits
Cons: noisy, especially on highway

Sailun Tires

I did some research before buying Sailun (race dragon) winter tires on the cheap. They were OK, but didn't last as long as other brands.

Pros: OK performance
Cons: didn't last long

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Have had my CX-30 through one Minnesota winter thus far on the stock Turanzas. Got through fine, but the car was also only about 4-5 months old at that time. I have already noticed some issues going into my second winter, one semi snowy day where nothing accumulated and I was sliding through roundabouts and was a little nervous about going around bends in the road.

Pros: got through fine initially
Cons: sliding through roundabouts
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 25000 km
