BRIDGESTONE Tires

My Outback in Australia came with factory fitted Bridgestone Dueller H/P Sports. Got 72K km (44.7K miles) out of the first set and although I could have probably kept them longer, a "buy 3 get 4th free" sale encouraged me to replace all 4 with the same tyres

Pros: long lifespan (72k km)
Mileage: 72000 km

I have a Corolla Cross and use Bridgestone Blizzak. Absolutely unstoppable in deep snow! Been recommending and using Bridgestone Blizzak tires for as long as I can remember. There’s not a better winter tire on the market.

Pros: unstoppable in deep snow, best winter tire

On our cars we have had the Blizzak WS60/70/80 and Blizzak DM-V2 for 20 years. The Blizzaks have been awesome but want to test the Hakkas to see if they are better than the Blizzaks.

Pros: awesome performance

The Blizzak we have are 9 years old, but they are still in a good condition. We drive about 10k km/yr. So I guess the extra price you pay for top brand winter tires is for durability. I know there’s also comfort and noise level difference between good and less-good tires, but again I don’t feel any difference.

Pros: good condition after 9 years, durable
Cons: no difference in comfort/noise
Mileage: 90000 km

I run Blizzaks on my XC70 in the winter, and it's a utter MONSTER in the snow. I've embarrassed 4WD vehicles with good tires on snowy forest roads. I went into the mountains early season last year with just the all-seasons on after a minor snow event (a couple inches, plows had been through) and skidded slightly off a plowed gravel road onto a soft shoulder. Never would have happened with the Blizzaks, I'd just been lazy and hadn't put them on yet - they got put on later that afternoon. I don't notice much of a gas mileage hit that the winter fuel blend doesn't mostly account for anyway.

Pros: utter monster in snow, embarrassed 4WD, no gas mileage hit
Vehicle: Volvo XC70

My R came from the factory with the Bridgestone Potenza S005s. They're decent for daily driving—good grip in the dry and pretty quiet—but they’re not amazing in the wet.

Pros: good grip in the dry, pretty quiet
Cons: not amazing in wet

Mine only lasted 30 thousand miles and developed uneven where even after always rotated and balancing them. They are loud and they always feel unbalanced because they shake like crazy when cold.

Cons: uneven wear, loud
Mileage: 48280 km
