Tires BRIDGESTONE or Nokia

Nokia Tires

I'd go with the Nokian WR G4, which is an American all-weather version of Nokian's European performance winter tire, the WR A4. So it's basically a mild winter tire that can be used year-round.

Pros: mild winter tire

You should expect a slightly worse gas mileage, but not by much. In exchange you're getting excellent traction in the snow and rain though, so definitely a good choice for a tire.

Pros: excellent traction
Cons: worse gas mileage

Coincidentally, my Nokian Rotiiva tires were awesome, it ended up cracking and dry rotting out as well. 6 years and 45,000 miles, and they still had about 50% tread lift left

Pros: awesome, 50% tread left
Cons: cracking and dry rotting
Mileage: 72420 km

I haven’t gotten my MYLR yet, but on my CX-5 I did a ton of research and the Bridgestone Weatherpeak edged out CC2 on many fronts.

I drove through some bad winter storms on them and they’re a beast. My MPG was also not affected, or were barely affected (like 0.2-0.4mpg less), compared to the Toyo stock tires.

Pros: beast in winter storms
Cons: MPG barely affected
Vehicle: Mazda

My friend tried the HyperTrac and said they are better than the Nokian Z/line and Michelin AS4s.

Pros: better than Nokian, Michelin

Hakkapeliittas FTW, have the 9s on my STI and my dad has the 10s on his 440i, unbelievable amount of grip especially with awd and LSDs

Pros: unbelievable amount of grip

These are Hakkapeliitta 9 studded that I got for a deal because the 10s are out already. Jokes aside I’ve never driven on a tire that gave me this much confidence in snow/ice.

Pros: confidence in snow/ice
Cons: lack of snowfall

I've been running a set of Weatherpeaks on my Kia Seltos since spring.

They are quiet, didn't impact fuel mileage at all from the OEM all seasons, handle great in dry and wet, and the snow traction has been exemplary. Glare ice is not perfect, but really only a good studded winter stands a chance with that. Mixture of snow/ice is handled with no problem...When they do break traction, they have been very predictable and easy to recover.

Pros: quiet, great handling, good traction
Cons: glare ice not perfect
Vehicle: Kia
