Ended up with General ALTIMAX 365 AW. Wife wanted a solid ice/snow tire. Best rated tire for snow/ice . Fairly good for Ride quality and noise. Dry/wet driving is not rated as good as other two tires on this list.
I have Ecopia. Drive is comfortable and the tire lasted.
I have the HL alenza plus and they have been great
I just replaced my Mazama Reputations with these awesome tires. My car is a 2017 Jeep Cherokee High Altitude 4x4. These tires are grippy, have good response characteristics with good road feel. The Mazamas were a very rough ride in comparison. This Jeep feels like a luxury ride now. Not feeling all the little bumps and road jarring. Just smooth, quiet and grippy. I'm impressed. It's like driving a new car.
I worked for Bridgestone before. They make decent tires. Indy 500 and Destination lineups are great tires.
I'd recommend Generals. On the recommended by Consumer Reports list for winters and well placed in other tire testing, you can't go wrong with them. Less expensive than Michelin, Bridgestone, etc.
The only reason I avoid recommending Bridgestone Blizzaks is that while they are an absolutely incredible preforming tire, the softness of the tire wears out quickly and they tend to have a higher ticket price.
Been using this brand for over a decade.
Reasonably priced. Long lasting, good grip, a little louder than the comparable Michelin tire
Got my car used with a set of them on there(AS-05), they grip really well but they seem noisy on the road. Not sure if it's my car or the tires. They were descent in the snow. I got through a Rochester, NY winter with them on a RWD Kia Stinger.
I wasn't easy on the tires and a 1.5 years in they are at the wear bars.
I stopped buying bridgestone when my blizzaks was down to 50% tread after one winter.
