The best winter tires I’ve ever driven with are Bridgestone Blizzak
I have blizzaks 225/60R18 on aftermarket rims. Have been very happy with them in the past. We get lots of snow and live on a farm. Have gone through 2 winters.
I am on my second set of General Grabbers, and may go for another set. aggressive tread, quiet on the road, and last forever.
Everyone says they're mid but I've yet to lose any sort of traction wet or dry. And I've tried.
have previously tried pilot support 4 but they didn't quite work as well on my car on initial turn in and wore a bit faster but both tyres are amazing in all conditions.
I'm happy with them so far, but they do wear faster.
Huge upgrade from the Michelins I had, which were horrible for fuel economy.
The Bridgestone Weatherpeak is a better option. The WeatherPeaks have the advantage of being able to be actually rotated correctly.
Potenza Sports have a really stiff side wall. They in turn produce a loudee road noise.
Have had my CX-30 through one Minnesota winter thus far on the stock Turanzas. Got through fine, but the car was also only about 4-5 months old at that time. I have already noticed some issues going into my second winter, one semi snowy day where nothing accumulated and I was sliding through roundabouts and was a little nervous about going around bends in the road.
