Tires BRIDGESTONE or Firestone

I've had Blizzaks, the WS60 that are out of date now, but they were pretty great. Awesome snow traction, great dry handling considering they were snow tires, and very quite.

i run firestone transforce a/t's on my cummins and theyre great tires IMO. no compaints about them from me and they do great in the snow. a few guys over at plowsite run them too and no major complaints. grandpa runs mastercraft on his plow truck and they hold up very well too he had them on his 08 passat too and they were good tires.

Firestone Firehawk Indy Wide Oval 500. Dirt cheap 95$ (225/40/18XL). Great performance for the money. And you can afford to destroy them.

So far (300 miles) I have noticed the following; 1. Bridgestone tires seem to have more wet grip than the Kuhmo's

My car came with the Toyos and they lasted one summer, in the winter I run Blizzaks. Summer 2012 and 2013 I ran Potenza RE-11s. These has spent 3 weekends at Tail of the Dragon in that time and still have tread left on them to get me into next season and they are stickier than the Toyo Proxes and about $100 per tire cheaper.

Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sport. I had a set on my previous car. Low noise and great handling.

Check out Firestone Winterforce tires. Don't know where you're from but Tirerack lists them for $69 in 185/65/R15.

While not top of the line, these will get you through a lot of bad snow. The tread is deep enough and has a ton of small blocks to chew through snow and enough siping to get over ice.

If you get some Bridgestone Serenity tires, the road noise isn't nearly as bad.

It's the stock tire on my Prius. I'd never put it on my other cars by choice, but it seems to suit the Prius just fine. Never had any issues with tracking. Of course the steering feel is terrible, but that's the story with the entire car.

My first snow tire purchase was a set of Blizzak WS-50s and I just couldn't deal with the squirmy feel for the amount of true snow/ice driving I encounter in a season.
