I’ve had coopers before and have been very pleased with them
Got 4 new Bridgestone two years ago for about $500
With balance. Free tire rotations and patch job. Don’t buy junk. They are rated for 50-60K. Driven maybe 30k have 5 mm tread depth left even mostly city driving.
Pep Boys has a relatively cheap Cooper tire exclusive to them. They last forever. Definitely touring tires, they're made to last and to be ideal in all conditions. I'll go back to the Cooper Adventurers next round of tires and probably here on out, highly recommended.
RS11's are amazing tires, used them before going to slicks. For road use the don't last that long though.
There's also the Bridgestone WeatherPeak, which is priced like the Michelin CrossClimate, but it seems like it has better snow and ice traction.
For as much time as you spend on the freeway I would 100% go with the Discoverer AT3s! Such a dope tire! Superb road manners, ultra quiet, and awesome capabilities when you push them!
Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S! Went from KO2’s to these and it’s a night and day difference in terms of handling, smoothness, MPG, and most important (for me)- cold/ wet weather performance!
I like Bridgestone Potenza RE003. Great dry grip and excellent wet grip.
I had a Mazda 6 that came fitted with Bridgestone Turanza. I got 4 years and 90,000km from those. I then fitted Potenza and got 2.5 years and 32,000km before they were gone.
Cooper has had a consistent track record of balance/wear/behavior issues for all of us over the last couple of years.
