Tires BRIDGESTONE or Cooper

Cooper Tires

Honestly, I'd take Cooper over Kelly without hesitation... Not that I have a problem with Kelly, but I have a lot of experience with Cooper and currently have them on my daily driver.

Pros: experience with Cooper

I just put these on our Commodore in 245/45R18. They replaced a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE003's. Initial impression is that they aren't any noisier than the Potenza's, possibly a bit quieter. Haven't driven in a heavy rain yet but the performance on slick roads was also good. My biggest concern is that they were going to totally spoil the handling but cornering at civilised speeds is still satisfying. Certainly they don't have anywhere near the dry grip of the Potenza's but they're fine for everyday use.

Pros: good performance on slick roads
Cons: less dry grip

I just replaced the tires on my 21 Outback with Cooper ProControl. Same tire size as you. I have young kids as well and do family duty for vacations school etc.

So far so good. I previously had the stock Yokohamas and they weren’t very good. Barely got 50k out of them.

Pros: so far so good
Cons: Yokohamas weren’t very good
Mileage: 50000 km

BRIDGESTONE Tires

Yep same thing happened to me, my OEM tires were shit. I had like 16k on mine. Normal driving, not aggressive or anything. Literally only lasted a year. Mine were Bridgestones.

Cons: tires were shit
Mileage: 16000 km
