Tires BFGoodrich or Firestone
Ko3… 50k miles in mine and lots of tread left
Your KO2s/KO3s are excellent tires, you don't need any other tires for a 3 mile drive. They are 3PMS tires and perform well on ice among AT tires.
You can now get the K 03 in the OEM size for the 20” wheel. I have them and love them but it’s a lot of tire if you’re not off roading.
Ultra-High Performance All-Season (best summer grip for A/S)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4
Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 Plus
BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S Plus
Decided on Firestone Affinity. Firestone's higher level brand, Bridgestone's research and development has trickled down to the Affinity AS tires. You can save some money by avoiding the Bridgestones. But 6 months in, with the amount of snow in Chicago this winter, all I can say is I haven't regretted my choice whatsoever.
I just replaced all 5 on my Forester, BF Goodrich All Terrains, for AU $1250, so about US $840 at Costco.
In the past I always used Blizzaks. Had some Firestone Winterforce years ago, didn’t mind them either.
I run the BF Goodrich K02, but I’ve heard the new K03 is a bit average.
Worn KO2s are known to have lots of siping, but for some reason the siping doesn’t go all the way down and they’re known for getting pretty bad in the wet/snow vs some other off road tires.
I have k02 on mine and i dont like them. They look great and in mud and dirt they are great but a little water ore snow and ice and they break free if i goose it just a hair.
