Strut assembly Monroe or Bilstein
Difference with the new b4s was night and day vs the 20 year old ones.
I owned a Dodge Caliber, not for long but I did. You have **Struts in the Front** and **Torsion Bar setup** in the Rear; meaning the Springs and Shocks are separate in the Rear
I don't care for stiff springs. And, Bilstein shocks/struts have always been perfect in my vehicles(ride/longevity/handling).
I use Monroe on anything sedan shaped, and have never been let down if I'm looking for as close to stock as i can.
I bought a full set of Monroe in May for my 07 pontiac vibe. Worked out great.
They’ll work on a 2wd but not very well. Ranchos are junk. Spend a tiny bit more and get something better. Bilstein 5100 have been good to me for years on many vehicles.
I have the Monroe struts on my 06 in all 4 corners and they do feel a bit soft for the spring rate, but they have a lifetime warranty.
The Monroe quick struts made my Lexus ES300 a low rider so I exchanged them for FCS.
monroe used to be a good product in the 90s not so much today.
Monroe went way downhill. Junk parts.
