Strut assembly KYB or Monroe
KYB struts got the OEM feel.
KYB shouldn’t let you down but don’t sleep on HL Mando. Certainly the one I would go with if you have a Hyundai or Kia as this is their OEM but a ton of other brands use HL Mando from the factory too.
Been using monroe in my 08 optra with a cng kit, it's working great for Indian roads for me. Planning to install monroe on my 09 city as well.
I am running monroe struts on my 11 Fozz since 90K miles. Ride has been much softer with those. I like that better than OEM; personal preference.
I have an 06’ legacy. Bought the kyb quick struts and haven’t had any problems - ride seems to be comparable to the original ride quality.
I just bought Monroe "heavy duty" struts for my Crown Victoria. The shocks are way too soft compared to oem, and they're leaking at only a year and a bit of age. Less than 15,000km on them. They also don't seem to have the same amount of travel compared to the oem, and I feel them slamming into the max extension bump stops. Done that since new.
The Monroe and kyb are both good products. I've had failures with both brands but it's not very often. The main difference I've personally noticed, is the Monroe quick struts trend to ride a bit stiff.
Bought some Monroe's for my Camry. They were crap. I returned them.
Don’t get KYB I got them on my Camry and they didn’t last long. Just get the factory struts IMO.
I keep using Monroe quick struts because they're the cheapest option that isn't complete garbage but I usually come to regret it.
