Spark plug NGK or OEM Audi

NGK Spark plug

after you get everything fixed don't run the oem plugs, they are too hot, if you want to run iridiums then get plugs that are 2 heat ranges colder and you'll be better off. you can also run copper plugs, i run ngk coppers that are 2 heat ranges colder and have had no issues at all.

Pros: no issues at all
Cons: oem plugs too hot

NGK BKR5E... Dual or single electrode, they both work well. These are the best plugs for these motors imo. They’re some of the cheapest as well.

Pros: work well, best for motor, inexpensive
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Part number: BKR5E

NGK Spark plug

I just installed STI plug wires and NGK spark plugs. After the install the car tried hard to turn over again but still gave me the same issue as before. Turns out the motor was not getting gas so I didn't need to get new plugs/wires, but I am glad I did because now my car doesn't idle weird anymore.

Pros: car doesn't idle weird
Cons: same issue as before
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Ditch these plugs and pick up some NGK's gapped to .028 and your misfires should go away. If the misfires are still present, start looking over your coil harness with a fine tooth comb and look for any cracks.

Pros: misfires should go away
