When I started the vehicle up, it woke up really aggressive, there was a strong gas smell and it stuttered badly when driving her, along with the check engine light flashing at me when I did the test drive.\n\nAfter taking out the coil pack, I found that there was a lot of crap inside the springs within the boots...looked like dielectric grease gummed up by the previous owner. After cleaning all those springs and making sure they were straight, I took the new Spark plugs out (Champion Copper) I rechecked the gap and they were all good, after putting everything back together the old girl started up quick as hell, no shaking or anything. I drove it for 15 minutes and I had no issues whatsoever.

Pros: started up quick as hell, no shaking
Cons: strong gas smell, stuttered badly

Champion Spark plug

Champion are ok if you change them every 2000 miles, otherwise they tend to loosen up at the terminal and you end up having to retighten them on a rigid mount Harley every 500 miles or so.

Pros: ok if changed often
Cons: loosen up at terminal
Mileage: 2000 km

OEM Toyota Spark plug

A regional tire store / repair center "recommend" spark plugs on my Sienna at 92K for $850 (intake manifold has to come off to get at 3 of the plugs). I asked them what benefit would there be in replacing spark plugs at 92K considering Toyota sets the spark plug replacement at 120K.

Cons: unnecessary work
Vehicle: Toyota Sienna
Mileage: 92000 km
