For spark, I wasn't sure I had the right plugs so I went with the OEM Champion plugs that were recommended in the Bentley. I checked for spark, no issues there.
I've put about 100 miles on them and the car seems just as happy as ever. Went for a spirited drive today out in the hills and the car felt responsive and strong through the power range.
Autolite a103 gapped to .055" will give you about a 5hp increase and last around 30,000 miles
I found that it had Autolite Iridum spark plugs. They didn’t look bad and were gapped appropriately but I replaced them anyway with the recommended NGK spark plugs. Car has ran perfectly since then with no misfires or stuttering.
autolites 3923 platinumsgave me the same mpg as the expensive NGK platinum.....
Champion is shit for cars. Leave it for mowers and weed eaters.
I would return them and get Motorcraft anyway. Champion is garbage.
I replaced the original ac Delco spark plugs (shown in picture, THEY LOOK BAD) and put with new auto light ones and changed the wire as well. However, after doing so, my truck has been running really rough, almost like it's cammed and misfiring, when its rolling in drive it like to have a little shake.
As long as it’s not auto lite plugs you should be good. I’ve seen those things hinder 3 separate rigs from running right. Once one cracked 100 miles after installing them, half way through a trip we had to sop at autozone and replace plugs
Don't even think the Autolite or Bosch last as long as Denso/NGK spark plugs.
