if not oem ACDelco get ones from the likes of ngk, or bosch.
When I had dino burner cars, I did all of my own work, and always used Bosch Platinum plugs for my specific engine and heat. Iridium last the longest life, but are more sensitive to getting hot and causing pinging.
I went with Bosch but you really can't go wrong with the 4 vendors you have listed.
Bosch Spark plugs Motul 0W-20 VW oil for the last two oil changes, about 3k miles on the current change AFE air filter Brake fluid flush within last year or so Coolant flush with VW fluid within last year or so Accessory drive belt New belly pan screws and fasteners
I ended up finding a post where somebody was having a similar problem that I was and one of the top comments on that post a guy had said word for word "I hope you don't have Bosch Platinum plugs in there." I ordered NGK ZFR5N copper plugs. I just received them this morning and got work. Gapped them to 0.035. Put them in. Done. Misfire gone. Runs perfect idles like butter.
So far we have; Changed to new spark plug wires, distributor cap and rotor and the distributor is not leaking oil, tried two different sets of spark plugs Bosch F6DTC and NGK/RIDIUM BKR6EIX.
I ran them for awhile in my Passat VR6.They did decent.Burned really well actually. I think when I was running them I only got about 23 MPG.
Bosch platinum are trash.
I’ve heard bad things from mechanics about Bosch, specifically Bosch platinum.
the plugs are brand new Bosch Double Platinum.... so then I went out, put them back in and was still a biotch to start....
