Rating 5.0

I've had my Bosch platinum spark plugs in for 120k+ kilometers and they still run as good as they did the day I installed them, back in 2011.

Pros: runs as good as new
Mileage: 120000 km

Bosch Spark plug

We used to put Bosch W7DTC spark plugs in them. No gapping required, smoother idle, and they last 60k miles, maybe more.

Pros: smoother idle, long lasting
Cons: no gapping required
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 96000 km
Part number: W7DTC

Bosch Spark plug

Also, some engines get particular about plugs. Bosch has a bad rep for the 3400 engine in my Grand Am, while NGK and AC Delco(I've got NGK Iridium IXs in there now) are fine.

Pros: NGK plugs are fine
Cons: Bosch has bad rep

Bosch Spark plug

Took original plugs out at 50K miles. Not awful but electrode partially rounded with increased gaps. Stock plugs are Bosch and apparently copper core, so I replaced with same. Recommended gap is 0.043'' Added anti-sieze to threads for easier removal next time.

Pros: easier removal next time
Cons: electrode partially rounded
Mileage: 80467 km

Bosch Spark plug

Champion is OEM and what we suggest at work, but NGK has never failed us with any application. Bosch is generally terrible and we only use them if it’s a very specific application.

Pros: NGK never failed
Cons: Bosch generally terrible
