I got mine (07 plate) a year and a half ago on 85k. All it’s needed is 2 rear shocks in that time for £200., other than maintenance of course.
Everyone here will push Bilstein shocks. They're probably best for weight and wheelbase. I put Rancho on mine and leveled the truck by going 1.75" taller up front. Don't hate the ride.
As I do some offroading or mostly off pavement vs wheeling I’ve also liked my Rancho 5000s.
Had a ‘86 Blazer with snowplow and heavy duty suspension came with twin shocks up front when I replaced them I went with Rancho RS 5000 ?
I put those same Ranchos in my 2002 a couple of years ago. Night and day difference. I don't think my old shocks were doing anything at all.
Shocks/struts will go soon on this first.
I’ve got rancho on my stock height xj right now and it’s not bad by any means but I don’t have anything to compare it to besides the blown OEM shocks that they replaced a few months back.
Blown out ranchos
It’s the crap Rancho shocks.
I had ranchos and my truck pretty much bounced down the road. I switched to bilstein's and it drives and tows better
