I just lowered my wife's car (per her request) on H&R springs with new kyb shocks. It rides a bit stiffer (as expected) but no issues with rubbing or alignment. The turn-in response is greatly improved as well as body roll reduction.

Pros: improved turn-in response, reduced body roll
Cons: stiffer ride

I replaced my Mazda RX8s struts with kyb gas-a-just shocks and really like them! For a rwd sports car that I occasionally autocross they haven’t let me down!

Pros: reliable, good performance
Vehicle: Mazda

KYB Shock absorbers

My brother got KYB ones and they are ok.

They are on the softer side, but so far they last pretty good. 3 years and 60000km and no leaks.

Pros: last pretty good, no leaks
Cons: on the softer side
Mileage: 60000 km

KYB Shock absorbers

I would rebuild the struts with new KYB shocks and retain the OEM springs and buy new OEM mounts. I have had terrible luck with quickstruts in a Lexus.

Cons: terrible luck
Vehicle: Lexus LS
