I run excel g's on my 1j cressida. Kyb isnt "cheap" let alone the excel g's.
Kyb is the opposite of cheapo in my experience. Rock auto kyb should be oem or better. I’ve used them on other cars
I'm running those exact shocks on all 4 corners and it's the best handling car I own. They work great
I've taken my non-res Fox 2.0s to Hatteras and all around the East Coast beaches and never had issues with them overheating. They're fantastic shocks
I have KYB on my sedan, very nice ride
I've use the KYBs several times, they have a good street ride.
For shocks I’d probably run a KYB AGX with a pedders spring if you can’t get something like an eibach
It seems most suggest KYB, but I have only found the Gabriel's to come loaded. Don't think I'm willing to add expenses by buying new parts to load the KYB. Price on the a Gabriels seems right at about $200ish all around so I'll likely bite on that one.
Kyb suck and monroe isnt too much better. I ended up paying out the nose for OEM shocks on my truck and I'm glad I did
I would rebuild the struts with new KYB shocks and retain the OEM springs and buy new OEM mounts. I have had terrible luck with quickstruts in a Lexus.
