I put Koni yellows and Mazdaspeed springs on my wife's MX-5 two summers ago and we both love it.
Stock springs with koni fsd. Many rave about them.
Koni 8610-1436 Inserts Leather style Vinyl 20th Anny Headliner (got this one super cheap ) Cupholder Console.. also super cheap
i have H&R sports and koni oranges on my mk4 jetta vr6 and i love the way my car drives
I have had the H&R OE Sport/Koni Yellow combo on my '03 GLI for almost a year now. I think it is the perfect setup for a daily driver.
I'm on H&R Sport / Koni yellows myself, and it is a definite improvement.
If you decide to go with the Routan SE you could change out the rear shocks for Monroe Sensa Trac. They are load adjusting and will support the extra weight of towing. They were very easy to install on our SUV, provide better handling and the vehicle stays level with over 500 pounds loaded in the back.
I have the FSDs in my Passat, and they are truly phenomenal if you want an improvement in both daily driving capability, great turn-in, and less roll and movement through the turns in a daily driver on challenging roads and challenging road surfaces.
thanx km1 my setup is blue haldex, new koni FSDs, Eibach springs, all season 18" tires new at Christmas.
The Koni STR.Ts I have started to rust at about one year old. It seems to happen a lot on them according to TDI club.
