Mine's a 330i auto, but the three best mods I've done is:

1. Suspension: B8 Bilsteins, Eibach Pro-kit springs & sway bars, Z4M FCA offset bushes, CMP Auto E46/Z4 Suspension Bundle (solid subframe bushes, monoball RTA bushes, adj. camber arms).

Pros: improved suspension, better handling
Vehicle: BMW

I replaced my old worn out KYBs with some Bilstein 4600s and it's a night and day difference. The Bilsteins give it a way comfier ride and they're a little firm but they aren't harsh, I'd definitely recommend Bilstein.

Pros: comfier ride, not harsh
Cons: a little firm

I did kyb factory replacement shocks with the original springs and on my '08 ES350 and it rode like a dream. It was a little taller however until the shocks calmed down.

Pros: rode like a dream
Cons: a little taller

I run bilstein sport with lesjöfors oem style springs and it holds great in corners but little too harsh on ruff roads. Also helps to have r16s instead of r18s even tho they look a lot better

Pros: holds great in corners
Cons: little too harsh

I also installed new KYB shocks (which seem to make the car sit rather high in my opinion).

Cons: car sits rather high

Bilstein Shock absorbers

Just had new upper and lower control arms installed yesterday, with Bilstein 6112s ( set at the 2nd setting which is supposed to be 1.9inch of lift) and 5160s in the rear. The truck rides very odd, seems very bouncy between 10-50 miles per hour on regular roads. Also noticed that there are chunks missing out of the LT/RT struts, looks like the springs are making contact with the upper control arms.

Pros: new control arms installed
Cons: bouncy ride, chunks missing
Mileage: 116000 km
