Shock absorbers Bilstein or KONI

I have the Koni Special Active on my '08 328xi. I installed them at about 95K miles; my apparently original shocks were leaking. Less body roll in fast corners. My expired shocks were mushy, so these feel a bit stiffer.

Ive been impressed with Koni 80 shocks and dobinsons springs..

No frills, good ride, reliably does what it is supposed to.

I installed stock(unmodified) Bilstein B4 shocks/struts on my 2017 REX with 19” wheels and the improvement was noticeable. Overall the ride was less unsettled and bouncy.

I'm running the adjustable koni yellows on mine with the eibach lowering springs (1in drop in front, 1.25 in the rear I believe).

Switched to Bilstein 5100 and have always had them in the rear. I’m mostly pavement unfortunately and it’s been great

I decided to swap in the Bilstein 5100s, gotta say they ride a lot nicer when the truck is empty--We'll see how they do with a gear load on the next road trip.

I went with Koni yellow adjustables front and rear.

Save money and go 4600 if you don’t care about lift. Mine have really improved the ride.

Of course, my suspension is not stock, although all the parts are OEM except for the Koni shocks/strut.

I had 4600s on my k1500 and it still rode awful. Tried Pro Comp premium shocks and they were even worse vs the 100k Bilstens.
