Yeah, the first thing I did was an oil change. I put liqui moly 5w-40 in the car and the oil level is top of the dipstick (EDIT: within the max/min level on the dipstick, top of max, I should specify). I put a Mahle filter in there as well.
Have done many oil changes on both my Tellurides, and used K&N every-time, better quality than OEM.
I run Castrol Edge 5W-30 with Mahle filters and no stabilazers since I don\u2019t trust that bullshit. Changes every 10,000km and she\u2019s still running beautifully with 205,000km on the clock
My ‘11 CR-V AWD is sitting pretty at 285,000 miles and I’ve been using a combination of Valvoline MaxLife Engine Oil High Mileage Full Synthetic and K&N High Performance Oil Filter for the last 100k miles.
Valvoline High Mileage w/ K&N Gold filter, I've had no problems, and it runs smooth
I recently installed this canister in my 24v VR6: Better anti-drain back valve in it.
Also, use the best filter you can afford and that means K&N (I hate that VW Mann 3D world junk).
second oil change i used 0w-30 with a KN oil filter and it felt like it had more torque off the line. It could just be a placebo effect but that's what I feel.
I refuse to buy K&N after one failed and burst apart on my Honda CB1100 a couple of years ago.
i had a k&n on my car, immediately i noticed how much lighter and cheaper feeling it was compared to the previous bosch filter i had, also noticed it had a round gasket opposed to the flat one found on most oil filters, but despite this i ran it anyways, a month goes by and i notice my car is starting to leave puddles of oil everywhere, i put it in the shop and lift it up and sure enough the oil is leaking right from the shitty gasket on the k&n filter, replaced it with a bosch and haven’t had an issue
