I had the same issue on one front light for my cayenne 2016. I am not a handy man and got advised from my mechanic that I replaced it, got replaced for 9000 dirhams for a used one and perfect since then. I didn’t bother fixing, it had a hole in the silicon.

Pros: used replacement worked
Cons: hole in the silicon
Vehicle: Porsche Cayenne

My 996.1 is my first Porsche, and it’s consistently able to make me happy. Even the dumb lights are aging surprisingly well.

Pros: aging surprisingly well

So the headlights on my BMW are so much better than headlights I’ve had in previous cars. They illuminate the road so much better.

Pros: illuminate road better

That’s crazing and is not from driving, is caused by heat and direct sunlight, happened to my 981 on a very hot week I left the car parked unused, one day they were perfect a week later they were exactly like yours. A professional detailer sanded the outer layer and polished it, I then added PPF and they were perfect again.

Pros: perfect again, added PPF
Cons: crazing, caused by heat
Vehicle: Porsche

Here’s one, my 21 BMW 218 has quite high dims. I regularly get flashed to dim my light when they are dimmed. There is no dial / setting on the car that I’m aware of to adjust this. I asked BMW and they said I’d need to leave it in (which will cost €300 or something ridiculous).

Pros: high dims, regularly flashed
Cons: no setting to adjust
Vehicle: BMW

Have the same issue in a brand new cayenne. They said the problem is that I live in an area with humid weather and that they cant replicate the issue in the workshop and wont replace them. From what I have heard and read so far, it seems it is an issue with Porsche headlights.

Pros: issue with Porsche headlights
Cons: humid weather causes issue
Vehicle: Porsche Cayenne

Hey, something similar happened to me with my BMW bike. I only had a broken front headlight and indicator, but they added extra things and did some extra damage to the silencer, rear taillight, and added tank scratches.

Pros: claim approved
Cons: extra damage added
Vehicle: BMW

Any BMW. You have to take the side fender and various front engine apart just to replace a headlight! Dealer says they'll replace both for $2000.

Cons: difficult headlight replacement

I bought a used 2021 BMW 5 series. I live in a rural area without streetlights, so it’s pitchblack on curvy 50mph roads lined with trees dropping limbs and large animals crossing. These headlights are dangerous. Can’t see without my high beams, yet there are oncoming cars every 3 seconds. I’m left driving blind half the time.

Cons: dangerous, poor visibility, needs high beams
Vehicle: BMW
