This is why I got the 2019 model. The lines are far more aggressive in my opinion. Really appreciate the hexagonal look. Beautiful little details that really tie the car together.
Facelift, I have the pre though
Headlights were terrible. OEM plastic units with halogens. No bueno. Ordered the euro glass projectors with HIDs and new clear fogs (also HIDs). Much, Much, MUCH better. Aimed correctly. Light pattern is acceptable. Zero issues with flashing from other drivers.
I replaced both of mine with new factory units. They have held up, going on 8 yrs and still look new.
So, I opened my headlights on my 17. It is like others have said a painful process. Main reason is because the factory glue sealing the headlights is very difficult to melt, I had to bake my lights for quite a while to get it to loosen up. And even then the factory glue is basically impossible to get all the way off. Putting it back together isn’t bad, I know some people have condensation issues but I’ve never had any issues with that, plus from the factory there are already drain holes/air holes in the housing anyways.
Water inside after first wash
Just got back from a 1200 kms trip in my 2024 bmw x5 m40i.I can confirm that the headlights are bad.Had a nasty sidewall rupture on the front right tyre because I couldn’t see a pothole in the rain at night .
BMW does it now as well. Headlight went out. 3300 part another 3000 labor. Found a replacement. And was told it won’t work unless dealer programs it but dealer won’t program unless we buy new from them.
The headlights look like they’re in shock all the time. The only part I’m not a fan of this car.
I constantly get flashed by oncoming cars in my Ranger and it's not high beams. It fucking sucks. I asked at the service and they said nah standard angling.
