I have a koyo radiator in my na6 with stock fan on it and it has no clearance issues. Probably wasn’t necessary for me currently but I’m going turbo after I spend more time driving it na so figured why buy twice and just went for the koyo.

Pros: no clearance issues, good for upgrades
Vehicle: Mazda

You can get a koyo radiator for like $160 bucks. I have an Avalon that looks identical under the hood. If it takes you more than 1 hours start to finish something went wrong.

Pros: easy to install, good price
Vehicle: Toyota Avalon

Another vehicle the rad got low and the stream pretty much melted the top where it connected to the hose. New rad was on backorder and I needed a car so I cut the melted but off at a clean angle and attached a chunk of ABS pipe using high-temp JB weld which I reattached the hose too after it set. I regularly checked it over the next 1-2 weeks until the shop got a new rad in and had no issues.

Pros: no issues
Cons: rad got low

the Koyo certainly looks much better. You won't notice any difference in cooling between the two.

Pros: better aesthetics
Cons: no cooling improvement

I'd go with Koyo for price and ease of install. My reservoir hose nipple broke on my OEM radiator (OEM has plastic tanks) so I went with all aluminum for durability. My RX-8 also only drives on race tracks, so the extra cooling is nice.

Pros: good price, easy install, durable, extra cooling

I'd replace it with a fully aluminum one just because of that pesky plastic nipple that's prone to breaking. Koyo makes a good one.

Pros: fully aluminum, good quality

The problem I'm running in to is that the upper hose connection is positioned differently on the Koyo N-Flow/dual pass(RH020539N) and it's really close to the Q45 throttle body and attached TPS. I've already cut off the unused socket on the TPS which gives me more room but still not a ton to work with.

Cons: tight hose connection, poor fitment
Vehicle: Nissan
Part number: RH020539N
