Shell Engine oil

This is a 2009 GTI, just over 27k miles on the car, and 10,000 miles on Rotella T6. Car is tuned APR stage 1 93 octane, and has a Carbonio intake. I had some concern that maybe I didn't oil the air filter enough, and it looks like that is verified with the high silicon.

Pros: good oil, easy to find
Cons: high silicon
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 10000 km

Shell Engine oil

I have noticed my car is "running better" with the Rotella, and i have not had to top it off at all compared to running Motul 5w40 i had to add quite a bit over my OCI.

Pros: running better
Cons: had to add quite a bit
Vehicle: Audi A4

I use valvoline because it's common and it does the job. My auto mechanics instructor also recommended it because he said most of the engines he'd taken apart that had run valvoline looked pretty crud free.

Pros: crud free engines

Shell Engine oil

I'm using Rotella T6 5w40 in my car. For the money, it's one of the better buys for oil since it holds up so well. It's got good additives that don't shear down quickly, decent amounts of zinc and phosphorus, and it works in just about anything - cars, trucks, diesels, bikes with wet clutches, etc.

Pros: holds up so well, good additives
Vehicle: Volkswagen
