Engine oil PENNZOIL or OEM Honda

PENNZOIL Engine oil

Project farm did a bunch of tests on all popular oil brands and amsoil won followed closely by pennzoil ultra platinum. The pennzoil is easier to get so that’s what I use on all my cars.

Pros: easier to get

PENNZOIL Engine oil

I've been running Pennzoil Ultra Platinum in mine for a while now, and it's done me well. Just hit 200k miles on the odometer last week, so no issues there. Run a good oil filter (I prefer Wix XP) and good oil and you're fine.

Pros: no issues
Mileage: 321869 km

Pennzoil Platinum Euro Full Synthetic I've used the 5W-40 version for six years (EA888.3 engine). But any major brand full synthetic meeting VW 502 will be fine.

Pros: full synthetic, meets VW 502

PENNZOIL Engine oil

Any LL-01 5W-40 is technically suitable and approved. I use Pennzoil Platinum Euro 5W-40 in the N55 and previously used it in a B58 540i. There are other options as well.

Pros: suitable and approved

Try Pennzoil Ultra Platinum next, I have used it in my WRX and I'm super happy with it. It literally makes my engine run quieter.

PENNZOIL Engine oil

Pennzoil Platinum Euro is one of the best oils available as far as NOACK is concerned. It meets most if not all European car manufacturers specs and is the factory fill in Fiat/Alfa engines.

Pros: best oils available, meets European specs
