I am currently using Motul 8100 x-clean gen2 5w-40 (good on DPF) for the last 7000km (I think) without any issues. This oil should provide better lubrication, especially if driven hard and during high temps.

Pros: better lubrication, no issues
Vehicle: Citroen C5
Mileage: 7000 km

MOTUL Engine oil

I’ve been using the 300V , absolutely love the feeling of this oil but decided to switch since it’s a true race oil & the intervals needing very frequent changes. After only 1000 miles of street riding , I’ve tested the oil & it began to sheer from 18 cst @ 100c down to 15 cst @100c .

Pros: love the feeling
Cons: frequent changes needed
Mileage: 1000 km

PENNZOIL Engine oil

Luckily modern oils are developed with this in mind. Costco/walmart/amazon oil is made by the same company, Warren oil. I think most people consider penzoil ultra platinum as one of the best.

Pros: Penzoil ultra platinum

Honestly, any brand should be okay as long as you change your oil every 5k miles. Personally I run Penz ultra plat. I never burn oil with it and my engine sounds quieter than it did w/ Mobil 1.

Pros: engine sounds quieter
Cons: never burn oil
Vehicle: Lexus GS
Mileage: 5000 km

PENNZOIL Engine oil

If you have ever rebuilt an engine that used Pennzoil, you would never use it again. The top of the head will be covered in carbon.

Cons: carbon buildup
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 50000 km
