Engine oil OEM Honda or OEM Subaru

I got my 93 Accord up to 333,000 miles changing oil at 7500 miles, using the cheap synthetic blend Walmart crap, and engine failure isn't what killed the car. When I pulled the head at 250,000 miles to do a head gasket, the cylinders still had the cross hatching from the factory hone so I'm gonna say 7500 miles was plenty often enough. Changing oil more often than required is nothing but wasting money and buys you nothing in terms of reliability or longevity.

2013 Accord V6... I change it every 7500 with full synthetic. Anyone changing before 5k is wasting their money.

I used to do it every 3k cuz I was pro overkill, then 5k, now I just do it when the car tells me to. So around 20% oil life

I do mine every 7k. 240k on my 2010 honda accord no issues. And 190 2016 honda accord no issues. And the 2016 has the weak oil rings.

ive had my 15 civic SI since march of 15. ive changed it every 5k and never had an issue with it. oil is cheap, engines and major repairs are expensive. id rather waste 50$ on an extra oil change or 2 a year, then need a 5k motor replacement.

I do mine every 5k on my 2010 Honda Accord 2.4L with synthetic oil. Engine oil is much cheaper than an entire engine.

I go 6k miles on my 2020 passport (Mobil 1 syn. and Wix syn. oil filter). I also rotate my tires at the same time. Change intervals are debatable. The cost is negligible to me in exchange for knowing I have fresh oil and a filter on my rig. Further, I plan on keeping this vehicle for 10 to 12 more years so engine longevity without issues is very important to me. Besides, I would rather error on changing too soon vs. going too long. Peace of mind.

I have a 2012 Honda Accord EX-L 2.4L with 220,000 miles on it. I change my oil with 0W-20 full synthetic every 8,000 to 10,000 miles or usually when my oil light get to about 10 to 5%. I’ve had zero problems so far.

My old 8th gen, I changed it once the maintenance minder popped to zero. Never sooner. My logic, easy driving, quality oil, I'm well within safe margins. That car was fed mobil 1 most of its life. Valvetrain stayed bright aluminum. OCI's we're near 6800 miles.

Having had multiple Subarus that leak oil like crazy (they all do when they get old) the leaks are most likely too much for the stop leak additive to fix anyway.
