Use better oil and change every 5k My Audi S6 would go through a quart every 5k That's when I change the oil -- Mobile 1 --extended 15k oil - Ive put 90k miles on it in the past 10 years it still runs strong!

Pros: runs strong, extended oil

Always used 0w40 Mobil1 every 5k miles and it’s perfect

I use mobile 1 0w40. I've thought about switching to liquid moly but everytime I see a comparison between the two mobile 1 outperforms.

M44 1.9, Mobil 1 Super 10W40, though I have to admit I use Castrol Edge in everything usually.

I really like Mobil 1 0w40 European car formula, and for the filter, only OEM from the dealer.

I once used the 20k mile oil, but changed it at 12k; my engine seemed to run nore smoothly, after that. I swore off longer oil change intervals and went back to regular Mobil 1.

Pros: engine ran more smoothly

I'm currently happy with Mobil 1, 15w50, except when it comes time to pay for it, yikes that stuff is pricey. First time I ran the Mobil 1, guess what happened?? Oil light flicker at hot idle. Replaced the low pressure switch, no more flicker. That switch didn't change characteristics just because I changed oil, the fresh oil was thinner, oil pressure decreased.

Pros: happy with oil

Cons: pricey, oil light flicker
