You can also try changing your oil to M1 15w50 full synthetic that helped me with my cold start rattling issues and the engine seems to run smoother along with the vanos idle clacking noises going away.

Pros: engine runs smoother

Cons: cold start rattling

Personally I use mobile 1 extended performance and change every 5k but I’m a bit of an oil critic

Tengo un Vento 2.0 TSI gen3 que cuando lo compré usaba Elaion F50 sintético 10w40 y lo consumía. Cambié a Mobil 1 FS 0w40 y no consume más...

I used to do Motorcraft 5w20 but I ended up switching to Mobil 1. It just performed better in the car and made the engine run smoother and quieter.

Our engines were originally designed for 5W30, so that's what I use. Namely Mobil 1 High Mileage.

I have a 22 Tiguan and did the first oil change myself around 5K miles. This is what I ended up using. I found it locally so that was a plus, Mobil 1™ ESP X2 0W-20 .

Pros: found it locally

Been using Mobil 1 for over 20 years. Never had any issues.

Mobil1. I use 10w30 in the Texas summer heat and 5w30 in the winter. 2006 c280 with 185k

Pros: good for summer heat

Cons: seasonal viscosity change

I run 10-40 mobil1 in my VR now. had 5-30 and it ran just about the same, didnt notice any difference really.

Cons: didnt notice any difference

i got a little valve clatter when i went to 0w40 on my next oil change i'll be using 5w40 (synthetic)
