Engine oil Mobil or OEM Toyota

Mobil Engine oil

Go with whatever is easy for you to source and also meets the VW502.00 standard. I personally run Mobil 1 0w-40 or Liquimoly 5w-40, whichever I can get cheaper.

Pros: meets VW502.00 standard
Vehicle: Volkswagen

Mobil Engine oil

My 911 has over 100k, I switched to 5-w40 mobil1. I’m sure driven is fine too, but mobil1 is perfect and designed for our cars, cultists be damned.

Pros: perfect, designed for our cars
Vehicle: Porsche 911
Mileage: 100000 km

Mobil Engine oil

I do all my own work and the oil changes are either 10k miles or yearly, usually yearly. I'm not too concerned about the exact date but basically every spring the cars get an oil change, air filter and cabin air filter.

Pros: yearly oil change
Vehicle: Porsche
Mileage: 16093 km

I used 0-40 mobil 1. It turned out pretty bad for me, I ended up using more oil than I ever had before. The car smelled like a friggin chainsaw with that stuff. The engine only had like 100k on it, but the blowby was horrible with 0-40. This was just my experience. I use mobil 10-40 now and no problems so far.

Pros: no problems so far
Cons: blowby was horrible
Mileage: 100000 km
