Engine oil Mobil or OEM Mazda

Mobil Engine oil

I use Mobil 1 10w30 with zinc additives. What my local rotary shop recommends and puts in the cars they work on so I assume they know more and better than me lol

Pros: local rotary shop recommends

OEM Mazda Engine oil

I use Mazda's weight recommendation for my environment, as illustrated in your owners manual. I use 10W-30 and 15W-40 Full-Synthetic oils with zinc additives to stave off carbon deposits.

Pros: stave off carbon deposits

Mobil Engine oil

For my 2018 Stelvio Even the dealership in Toronto uses Pennzoil Euro LX, but I have used Mobil-1 0W-30 as well. I did not find major differences in performance with these 2, only difference is the prices.. Otherwise I'd recommend both.

Pros: recommends both
Cons: price difference
Vehicle: Alfa Romeo

Mobil Engine oil

I use Mobil-1 Advanced Fuel Economy 0W-30. It meets API SP (and SN Plus of course) and is available at Walmart pretty much everywhere for *cheap*.

Pros: meets API SP, cheap

Mobil Engine oil

I recommend using Mobil1 engine oil. It contains additives that extend your engine life. I’ve done a teardown of a Skyactiv engine that used Mobil1 and one that used Pennzoil. The Mobil1 engine looked a lot better than the Pennzoil one. I use it in my parents’ CX-9, no problems at all.

Pros: extend your engine life
Vehicle: Mazda

So, again, I bought a new one and threw it on just last night. I took it for a ride to get it warmed up and I'm still having low oil pressure.

Cons: low oil pressure
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 115000 km
